A larger capacity machine than the No. 0, the ungeared No.1 was basically a larger version with the same foot controls, revised bar feed and similar ball and roller bearings for the headstock.
The capacity was 1" through the headstock and bar feed, and the machine had two forward and one reverse speed available. The bar feed
was
the later "Swing Forward" type, made for easier operator loading of material.
